  • MineProbe workshop will take palce in conjunction with Second International Workshop on Recent Advances in Robotics and Sensor Technology for Humanitarian Demining and Counter-IEDs (RST 2016) to be hosted by Zewail City of Science and Technology in the beautiful city of Cairo, Egypt in October 27-30, 2016. MineProbe workshop is dedicated to present the progress of the different work packages the project.

  • Second International Workshop on Recent Advances in Robotics and Sensor Technology for Humanitarian Demining and Counter-IEDs (RST 2016) [posted: March 22, 2016]
  • RST is founded by MinePorbe PI and is organized by MinePorbe team in collaboration with Zewail City of Science and Technology and IEEE RAS Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (RAS-SIGHT). RST is designated for reporting recent research and development results in robotics and sensor technologies for humanitarian demining and the recent advances in Counter Improvised Explosive Device (IED) technologies. Detection and removal of landmines and improvised explosive devices, at the present time, is a serious problem of political, economical, environmental and humanitarian dimensions in many countries over the world. The workshop will feature plenary speeches, technical paper session, industrial panel session, and an exhibition of humanitarian demining and counter-IED technologies. Full paper submission deadline is July 18, 2016.

  • Second MineProbe mini-workshop took place in Cairo in October 27, 2015 to discuss project progress and to prepare the Second International Workshop on Recent Advances in Robotics and Sensor Technology for Humanitarian Demining (RST’2016). RST'2016 will be organized by MineProbe team at Zewail City of Science and Technology in July 29-30, 2016.

  • Project PI will a keynote speech entitled “Humanitarian Demining: Facts, Technology Enablers and Initiatives” in the Workshop on Recent Advances on Robotics and Sensor Technology for Humanitarian Demining at The 6th International Conference on Computing and Informatics in Northern Chile (INFONOR-Chile 2015). This talk highlights the problem of landmine and unexploded ordnance contamination and describe the different technology enables and initiatives to solve this problem. MineProbe project will be presented as one of these initiatives. Download.

  • Arab Program Ban Convention organizes a workshop about landmines in September 13-17, Cairo, Egypt.

  • Minesweepers: Towards a Landmine-free World [posted: July 1, 2015]
  • MineProbe team is technically sponsoring Minesweepers: Towards a Landmine-free World outdoor robotic competition. National round of the competition takes place in July 25-26, 2015 at Misr University for Science and Technology. International round will take place in August 19-21, 2015 in Antofagasta, Chile.
